Entering therapy can feel daunting, particularly when individuals or couples are navigating emotional distress, relational conflict, or the impact of past experiences. Clients often seek therapy during periods of uncertainty, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them or overwhelmed by symptoms that interfere with daily functioning and relationships.
My clinical approach is grounded in providing a safe, structured, and collaborative therapeutic environment where individuals and couples can explore their concerns with clarity and purpose. I work from a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, recognizing how early experiences, relational injuries, and nervous system responses shape current patterns of behaviour, emotion, and connection. Therapy is tailored to each client’s goals, values, and presenting concerns, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and measurable change.
I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and person-centred approaches. With couples, therapy focuses on identifying and de-escalating negative interaction cycles, strengthening emotional safety, improving communication, and fostering secure attachment. ACT-informed work supports clients in developing psychological flexibility—learning to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions while taking meaningful action aligned with their values.
Through a collaborative therapeutic process, clients are supported in increasing self-awareness, developing emotional regulation skills, and building healthier relational patterns. My therapeutic style is structured, compassionate, and goal-oriented, while remaining flexible to meet clients where they are in their therapeutic journey.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have experience working in private practice settings since May 2020, supporting individuals and couples presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, psychotic disorders, and emotional regulation difficulties. I also work with concerns related to relationship distress, attachment wounds, infidelity, fertility challenges, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and identity development.
Client Focus: I work with individuals aged 16 and older, as well as couples seeking support with relationship repair, emotional disconnection, trust issues, communication difficulties, and attachment-related concerns.
Therapeutic Modalities: My work draws from a range of evidence-based and integrative approaches, including:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Attachment-based therapy
Person-Centred Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Mindfulness-based interventions
Holistic and Humanistic approaches
Areas of Clinical Focus: Common presenting concerns include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, stress, emotional dysregulation, relationship distress, low self-esteem, and confidence difficulties. Areas of specialization include infidelity, fertility-related stress, marital challenges, and attachment styles.
Professional Perspective: I approach therapy with the belief that meaningful change occurs when clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and supported in aligning their actions with their values. Therapy is not about eliminating difficult experiences, but about building capacity, flexibility, and resilience in the presence of them.
More Than My Work: Outside of my professional role, I value balance, connection, and family life as essential components of well-being. I am married and a parent of two children, experiences that inform my understanding of relationships, attachment, and the demands of navigating family systems across different life stages. I also share my home with three dogs and two cats and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring hiking trails and beaches with them. These experiences support my holistic perspective on mental health, resilience, and sustainable self-care.
